Pet Insurance is a complex, intangible and (hopefully) rarely utilized product, making it difficult for consumers to understand which option is best for them. The Pet Insurance Guide demystifies the evaluation process by providing a personalized recommendation based on industry expert feedback.
The Pet Insurance Guide was started by two pet insurance marketing experts (one of whom was an insurance agent) who came to the conclusion that most consumers have very little idea of what makes one pet insurance company better than another. Consumers needed a resource to help shed light on the industry, and so they started The Pet Insurance Guide.
The Pet Insurance Guide has a two-pronged approach for determining which insurance companies are best for a consumer. The first is that while not all consumers are alike, particularly in the eyes of insurance companies, they do often fall into groups that might interest one carrier more than another. Some insurance companies love to take on drivers that have gotten tickets, even though other insurance companies won’t even write them a policy. Some consumers just care about price, while others really want to know that their insurance company has their back if they have an accident. These differences in preferences and consumer types are extremely important when finding the best match between a consumer and an insurance company.
The second unique approach of The Pet Insurance Guide is to inform our understanding and recommendations with insurance agent feedback. Some other sites and resources exclusively utilize consumer feedback, which is great for subjects like how helpful a company’s website is. However, not only are consumers generally uninformed about their carrier’s quality at the point of purchase, but they are often unaware of how their carrier compares to others even after being with them for years. If you haven’t had an accident, how do you know how good a company’s claims service is?
To close the information gap, The Pet Insurance Guide heavily relies on feedback from experienced insurance agents. These are the people whose job it is to match consumers with insurance companies. We find insurance agents to be an incredible resource for knowing the ins and outs of a particular insurance company as well as for having the collective knowledge of their clients’ interactions with the various insurance companies.
The Pet Insurance Guide offers advertising opportunities to its partners. If you choose to click on one of our advertiser partners, we may receive compensation. However, our advertiser partners do not determine the content on our site or how we collect our data. We are committed to providing consumers the best data and information with which to make their pet insurance purchase decision.
